The nineteenth edition of the Winmau World Masters is a special one. The tournament moves to the Earls Court Park Inn Hotel in London and is being held at the 11th and 12th of December. After claiming the World Championships title in 1991, Dennis Priestley becomes World Master in 1992 as well. He defeats Mike Gregory in the final. For Gregory it is the second final he loses within twelve months, after the World Championships final against Taylor earlier this year.

With his victory, Priestley becomes the fifth player in history to win the Embassy and the Winmau, the two biggest titles in darts. Eric Bristow, John Lowe, Bob Anderson and Phil Taylor were the others. Losing semi-finalists this year are Alan Warriner and Magnus Caris.
