Reigning champion Richie Burnett is the favorite in the 1995 final against Belgian Erik Clarys. Yet it is the Belgian who claims the title. Clarys defeated Andy Fordham in the quarterfinal and Martin Adams in the semi-final already. Burnett won in a replay of the World Championships final his semi-final against Raymond van Barneveld. Barney became the first Dutchman to reach the World Masters semi-final.
Erik Clarys is the first non-British player to win the World Masters. It turned out to be his only title. Later in his career he was forced to quit because of an elbow injury.
