The eighteenth edition of the Winmau World Masters is being held in the first weekend of December in the Ramada Inn Hotel in London. Rod Harrington has an outstanding year and manages to win the World Masters title in this year as well. This is his first-ever televised title. He defeats reigning champion Phil Taylor in the final.
In the semi-final Harrington beats the surprising American Dave Kelly. Taylor ends the hopes of fellow Englishman and three times winner Bob Anderson.
