The domination of Trina Gulliver at the Ladies World Championships continues when she claims her fourth World Title in a row in 2004. The Golden Girl did not lose a set in the whole tournament, winning 2-0 against Barbara Lee, Karin Krappen and Francis Hoenselaar.
Hoenselaar reached the World Championships final fort he second time in her career, but she lost the final to Gulliver again. Krappen played her first semi final at the World Championships, but she was not strong enough to worry Gulliver. Mieke de Boer, who reached the semi-final in 2003, lost to Hoenselaar in the quarterfinal.
