In 2016 Trina Gulliver won her sixth Winmau World Masters title, eleven years after her last victory at the Winmau. In the final she defeated number one seed Deta Hedman 5-2. Gulliver lost only four legs in total this tournament and sent home Priscilla Steenbergen, Ann-Louise Peters, Ann-Marie Potts, reigning champion Aileen de Graaf and in the semifinal she defeated the Swedish surprise Vicky Pruim. De Graaf was the best Dutch player with her place in the quarter final.
