World Masters Women 2003

After Mandy Solomons in 1988 and 1989 Trina Gulliver is the second lady to successfully defend the World Masters title. In The Royal Spa in Bridlington Gulliver is too strong in the final for Crissy Howat (4-3). The World Masters is held not late November or early December for the first time since 1975, but pushed forward until early November.

Surprising semi-finalist is Italian Mojca Humar, who in the quarterfinal defeats the 2001 winner Anne Kirk. Howat is too strong for Humar in the semi-final. In the other semi-final Gulliver beats Sweden’s Carina Ekberg 4 -1.
