The 45th edition of the Winmau World Masters was held from 4 to 7 October at the Royal Spa in Bridlington. It was the 37th edition for the ladies. It would be the second victory of Lisa Ashton in the Winmau. She defeated Casey Gallagher 5-2 in the final.
Ashton, just like three other seeded players, entered the tournament in the quarterfinals. This means that she only has to win three matches on the way to the title. First she defeats Corrine Hammond from Australia and then Deta Hedman.
Casey Gallagher started in round one and plays an impressive tournament with victories over Karolina Podgorska, Kelly McGivern, Linda Ithurralde, Grace Crane, Sue Cusick, Lorraine Winstanley and Anastasia Dobromyslova. Gallagher had already won the World Master in 2013, then with the girls.
