On 3 and 4 December the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green provides the scenery for the eighteenth edition of the ladies Winmau World Master.

The tournament will for the first time in its history have a non-English speaking winner; Francis Hoenselaar from The Netherlands had been in four semi-finals in previous years, but stranded there each time. However, this year would be her year. The final was between the numbers one and two in the world; Trina Gulliver and Francis Hoenselaar. The latter would win a great final with 3-1 and an average above 95.

Defending champion Karen Lawman this year lost in the semi-finals to Gulliver. Anne Kirk had to acknowledge the superiority of Hoenselaar in the other semi-final.
