The UK Open 2004 has a new winner. The start of the tournament features some fantastic matches. Peter Manley loses his first match to Matt Chapman. Chapman would be seeing a nine darter by Phil Taylor in the next round. The matches at the last 16 are tense. Taylor defeats Wayne Mardle in a decider, Part does the same against Priestley and Lloyd beats Baxter in a last leg as well.
In the quarterfinals, Part produces an upset by beating Phil Taylor 8-6. Part reaches the final in 2004 and plays Roland Scholten, who defeated Mark Dudbridge, Denis Ovens, Alan Warriner and Steve Beaton to get into the final. Scholten wins 11-6 and takes his first ever major PDC title.
