Started calling some of the local Danish tournaments including the Danish nationals. The international chance of refereeing came when the Danish Darts Union invited Little Richard Ashdown and Jacques Nieuwlaat to referee at the Denmark Open & Masters and he was invited to work with them.
In 2018 he was In Turkey as an assistant manager for the Danish youth team at the WDF Europe Cup Youth. There was no referee there, so he stepped in to MC and referee all the finals. Since that year he has done all WDF Europe Cups Youth.
With the 2021 WDF World Cup scheduled to be played in Denmark Christian was asked to be a part of that official’s team as well. With that invitation he stepped away from being team manager for Denmark and concentrated fully on refereeing.
When the Covid pandemic closed everything down, and the World Cup was rescheduled it opened doors for Christian as he refereed at the 2022 WDF Europe Cup in Spain, the Winmau World Masters 2022 in Assen, and eventually the WDF World Cup in his home nation of Denmark in 2023.
After successfully doing all that, he also received the invitation to fulfil his biggest dream and make his debut on the iconic Lakeside stage in December 2023.
