The European Championship 2019 is held from 25 to 27 October in the Lokhalle of Göttingen, Germany. At the end of this prestigious tournament, it is Rob Cross who is lifting the trophy on stage after beating Gerwyn Price in the final with 11-6.

Up to the semi-finals, Cross has little difficulty defeating his opponents. After winning against Darren Webster, Joe Cullen and Ricky Evans, the 2018 World Champion encounters Daryl Gurney in the last four. After a tough battle with the Northern Irishman, Cross finally claims victory with 11-9. Gerwyn Price, who is Cross’ opponent in the final, has to work hard a bit earlier in the tournament. After an easy victory in the last sixteen, Gerwyn Price faces Vincent van der Voort in the quarterfinals. The Dutchman plays a great match and makes it very difficult for the Welshman. Unfortunately for Van der Voort, he cannot prevent Price from winning the match with 10-8.

Both players look closely matched in the final of the European Championship. After a tight start of the final, Cross moves through the gears and moves clear of Price. "The Iceman" never recovers from the four legs deficit. As a result, it is Rob Cross who wins the game and the tournament with 11-6.
