The ninth edition of the World Series Finals was held at AFAS Live in Amsterdam from 15 to 17 September. Michael van Gerwen took the title for the fifth time after winning the final against Nathan Aspinall.
Van Gerwen starts the tournament with a 6-4 victory over William O'Connor, after which he manages to beat Dimitri van den Bergh (10-8) in a good match in the quarter-finals. During the semi-finals he plays against Luke Humphries: it will be a nail-biter that will ultimately be won in a deciding leg by Van Gerwen (11-10). The Dutchman even hits a 9-darter in this match: the first ever during the World Series Finals. The final against Aspinall will be a disappointing one: 'The Asp' throws a mediocre match and sees the title pass by. Van Gerwen wins 11-4 and takes the title for the first time since 2019.
Danny Noppert and Dirk van Duijvenbode play against each other in the first round. Noppert is too strong at 6-4 and throws an average of 105.57. A round later he loses to his tormentor of 2023, Nathan Aspinall (6-3). Raymond van Barneveld reaches the quarter-finals after victories over Jeff Smith and Michael Smith, but there he loses 10-6 to Peter Wright.
