Michael van Gerwen who retains his title won the fourth edition of the Gibraltar Darts Trophy again. In the final he beats Dave Chisnall 6-2. The tournament was played this year from May 6 till 8.

After the Euro Tour tournaments that were held earlier this year in Venray and Munich this is the third victory in a row for the Dutch number one in the world. The surprise of the tournament comes from Gibraltar; Dyson Parody has the best tournament of his career and reaches the quarterfinals where he must eventually must bow for the eventual winner after he has missed three match darts.

Van Gerwen en route to the final also beats Nick Fullwell, Mervyn King and Kim Huybrechts. Dave Chisnall in turn defeats Steve West, Robert Thornton, Mensur Suljovic and Ian White.
