Michael van Gerwen won the third edition of the Gibraltar Darts Trophy. In the final he defeated Terry Jenkins, who earlier in the tournament knocked out the number one seed Gary Anderson. The tournament had been brought forward on the calendar and was played from 20-22 March.

Some of the top names chose not to play in Gibraltar this year. Phil Taylor, Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld all didn’t travel to the Rock. Defending champion James Wade reached the semi-finals this year, where Jenkins pu a stop to the title defence. For Walesman Jamie Lewis Gibraltar remains a place where he always plays well, after reaching the final in 2013 he gets to the semi-final in this year's event.
