The sixteenth edition of the PDC World Cup of Darts was held from 11 to 14 June at the Eissporthalle in Frankfurt, Germany. Forty countries competed for the title. England, represented by Luke Littler and Luke Humphries, lift the trophy after defeating the Netherlands in the final.

Defending champions Northern Ireland, featuring Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney, entered the tournament as one of the four seeded nations and therefore bypassed the group stage. The Netherlands, represented by Michael van Gerwen and Gian van Veen, also entered directly into the knockout stage as one of the top seeds. England, with the world's top two players in Littler and Humphries, were among the tournament favourites after missing out on the title in 2025.

The group stage produced several surprises. Hong Kong beats Belgium, the United States stunned former champions Australia, while Spain, Norway, and Latvia secured places in the last sixteen. Hosts Germany comfortably progressed, and nations including Wales, Ireland, France, and Sweden also advanced to the knockout stage.

England made their first appearance in the last sixteen and progress comfortably into the quarterfinals by beating Spain 4-0. The Netherlands also moved safely into the last eight, defeating the Swedish duo Jeffrey de Graaf and Oskar Lukasiak 8-6. Defending champions Northern Ireland kept their title defense alive by knocking out Dimitri van den Bergh and Mike de Decker. Wales, represented by Nick Kenny and Jonny Clayton, once again proved difficult opponents in the doubles format and beats the USA team for their spot in the quarterfinals.

The quarterfinals saw the five top-seeded nations still in the tournament. England continued their impressive form to reach the semi-finals by beating the Welsh team, while the Netherlands also booked their place in the final four by knocking out the German hosts of Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko.

In the semi-finals, England defeated their opponent Scotland 8-3 to reach the World Cup final. The Netherlands also came through to the final after beating defending champions Daryl Gurney and Josh Rock of Northern Ireland. It marked another major final for Michael van Gerwen, while Gian van Veen reached his first World Cup final.

The final saw Luke Littler and Luke Humphries make the stronger start and establish an early advantage. The Dutch pair stayed within touching distance for long periods and continued to apply pressure, but England proved too strong. Littler and Humphries maintained their lead and eventually secured a 10-5 victory to become 2026 PDC World Cup champions.

For Luke Littler and Luke Humphries, it was their first World Cup title together and another major achievement in an already remarkable partnership. For Michael van Gerwen and Gian van Veen, the runner-up finish represented another strong campaign and underlined the Netherlands' continued status as one of the leading nations in world darts.
