In 2018 the second edition of the German Darts Grand Prix was played. During the Easter weekend of 2018 it was played in the Zenith Kulturhalle in Munchen from 31 March to 2 April. The location may be different than the first year, the winner is the same, Michael van Gerwen also wins the second edition.
In the first round, the Dutchman needs an eleventh and decisive leg against Irishman Steve Lennon, but then he is warmed up and Alan Norris, Keegan Brown and Daryl Gurney are brushed aside. His opponent in the final is the Scottish number two of the world; Peter Wright. Snakebite defeats Josh Payne, Alan Tabern, Joe Cullen and Daryl Gurney on his way to the final.
In the final Van Gerwen is the strongest 8-5 and thus wins his second EuroTour title of 2018, his 22nd in total. For Wright it is his second loss in the final in 2018. He therefore remains on six EuroTour victories.
