From 8 to 10 May 2026, the Premiär Arena in Graz, Austria hosted the Austrian Darts Open, the sixth event of the 2026 European Tour. All the top players were present.
Several seeded players were eliminated in their opening match. Top seed Gian van Veen suffered a surprise 6–5 defeat to Madars Razma, while 13th seed Wessel Nijman was whitewashed 6–0 by Niko Springer. Ryan Searle (6), Chris Dobey (7), Jermmaine Wattimena (10) also failed to make it beyond the Last 32. Damon Heta (12) lost his match versus Cristo Reyes, who threw a 9-darter in the fourth leg.
Josh Rock started his tournament in the second round against Hungarian qualifier Patrik Kovacs, whom he defeated 6–3. In the Last 16, the Northern Irishman edged past Niko Springer 6–5 in a closely contested match. Keeping up momentum in the quarter-finals, he defeated Cristo Reyes 6–4. In the semi-finals, Rock produced one of his best performances of the weekend, averaging 100.15 in a 7–3 victory over fellow countryman Daryl Gurney to book his place in the final.
On the other side of the draw, Kevin Doets enjoyed his best European Tour run to date. The Dutchman started with a 6-3 win over fellow Dutchman Chris Landman. He continued his run with a 6–2 victory over Ryan Searle, before defeating Ryan Joyce 6–2 in the Last 16. In the quarter-finals, Doets delivered the performance of the tournament, averaging 112.31 in a commanding 6–3 win over Luke Woodhouse. He continued his strong form in the semi-finals, defeating former world champion Rob Cross 7–3 to reach his first European Tour final.
The final proved to be a high-quality contest, with both players averaging over 100. Rock made the stronger start and established an early advantage, but Doets remained in touch throughout the match. With the score at 7–6, the Northern Irishman produced a strong final leg to seal an 8–6 victory and claim the title.
With this triumph, Josh Rock secured his second European Tour title and continued his strong 2026 campaign. For Kevin Doets, the tournament marked the best European Tour performance of his career, reaching his first final and recording the highest average of the weekend.
