The US Darts Masters 2019, held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas on 4-5 July, was won by Nathan Aspinall. The Englishman won his second PDC TV title after lifting the 2019 UK Open trophy by beating Michael Smith in the final: 8-4.
Aspinall played brilliantly during the entire tournament and, besides Smith, also defeated Peter Wright (8-7 victory in the semi-finals) and Rob Cross (8-5 victory in the quarter-finals). In those three matches he managed to reach an average of over 100 points per three darts. The final was his best game of the tournament: an outstanding performance led him to an average of almost 107 per three darts.
Gary Anderson was the defending champion in Las Vegas, but he was beaten 8-6 in the quarter-finals by Gerwyn Price. The Iceman however did not reach the final, because he did not get past Smith at the last four. The English ace played well in the States and defeated Michael van Gerwen in the quarter-finals but could not grab the title against an impressive Aspinall.
