For the first time a non-English player became Youth World Champion in 2015. Germany’s Max Hopp defeated his English rival Nathan Aspinall 6-5 in the final in Minehead and finally rewarded his talent.
Hopp qualified for the final by beating Stephen Rosney, Berry van Peer, Kenny Neyens, Jeffrey de Zwaan and Dean Reynolds. Aspinall defeated Roxy-James Rodriguez, Josh Payne, Scott Dale, Sam Head and James Thompson before losing to Hopp in the final.
