European Darts Grand Prix

In 2012 the PDC launches the Euro Tour. On the European continent, the Pro Tour tournaments disappear and the tournaments are played on big stages with big audiences in the venue.

The European Darts Grand Prix appears on the calendar in the third year of the Euro Tour and is played in Sindelfingen. In the first two years of the Euro Tour Sindelfingen was also host to Euro Toru tournaments. In 2012 and 2013 the German Darts Masters were played here. In 2013, the players even visited Sindelfingen twice as the European Darts Open was also played there.

Mervyn King won the first edition, one year later Kim Huybrechts is the best and in 2016 Michael van Gerwen wins the title a feat he repeats in 2018. Peter Wright already reaches the final in 2015 and 2016 but has to wait until 2017 for his first win. He returns to the final in 2019 but loses on that occasion to Ian White.
