The fourth edition of the Las Vegas Desert Classic was played from June 27 to July 3 at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Phil Taylor is the strongest for the third time in four years. He beats Wayne Mardle in the finals for the second successive year, this year with a 6-1 scoreline.

Phil Taylor beats Mark Holden, Andy Jenkins, Kevin Painter and Wes Newton on his way to the final. Mardle beats Lionel Sams, Andy Callaby, Colin Lloyd and John Part, but is no match for The Power in the final.
