The first edition of the German Darts Masters was held in the Castello Arena in Dusseldorf on the 20th and 21st of October. Peter Wright wins his first ever World Series tournament after an impressive final match against Phil Taylor: 11-4.
In his first and second match of the tournament, Wright survives one matchdarts. First against Dragutin Horvath and second against Mensur Suljovic. His semi-final match against Raymond van Barneveld is a tough one, but the Scottish guy achieves a little victory over the Dutch guy.
Michael van Gerwen starts with a victory against Martin Schindler, but has to withdraw from the tournament due to an injury. At his side of the draw, Phil Taylor and James Wade meet each other in the semi-finals. ‘The Power’ who plays in his last World Series tournament ever, takes the victory over his fellow countryman.
