The fourth edition of the Dutch Darts Masters was held in the Evenementenhal in Venray. Between 5 and 7 June, over 21,000 visitors pass through the box office over the weekend, which is a record for the Euro Tour.
Defending champion Michael van Gerwen manages to retain his title and over the entire weekend really is only troubled once. That is in the semi-final against Terry Jenkins. The Raging Bull takes the match to a decisive eleventh leg and begins it with two maximums. Jenkins, however, misses one match dart on tops and Van Gerwen is merciless. In the final, Justin Pipe has no chance against the Dutchman, who wins 6-0.
It is Mighty Mike’s fourth Euro Tour victory in a row, a feat no one has previously reached.
