From September 5th to 7th, 2025, the Czech Darts Open took place at the PVA Expo in Prague — the twelfth event on the 2025 European Tour.
Top players from around the world were in attendance, including defending champion Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen, Stephen Bunting, and James Wade.
Humphries started his campaign strongly, defeating Martin Schindler 6–3 in the third round, before edging out Wessel Nijman in the quarterfinals (103.53 average to 101.82) to book his place in the semi-finals. There, he produced a dominant display to beat James Wade 7–1.
Josh Rock began his run in the second round with a 6–2 victory over William O’Connor. In the last 16, he knocked out Michael van Gerwen 6–4. The quarterfinals were of an exceptional standard: Rock defeated Jermaine Wattimena 6–1, averaging 110.65 to the Dutchman’s 106.99. In the semi-finals, Rock continued his fine form with a 7–3 win over Gian van Veen, securing his spot in the final.
In the final, Rock made the stronger start (2–0, 3–1), but Humphries fought back and seized control. With the scores level and a few missed chances from Rock, Humphries took the decisive lead and eventually ran out an 8–5 winner. His average was slightly lower than Rock’s, but his timing and finishing proved crucial.
With this victory, Luke Humphries successfully defended his title and claimed his eighth European Tour title. It was also his third Czech Darts Open crown, further cementing his status as one of the standout players on the circuit.
