From May 13-15, the second edition of the Czech Darts Open was held in Prague, Czech Republic. Luke Humphries managed to beat Rob Cross in a good final, which means he won a EuroTour tournament for the second time this year. For Cross, it remains to wait for his first EuroTour victory.
Humphries starts the tournament with an easy 6-1 victory over Martin Lukeman, against whom he won a final a month earlier. In the last sixteen he is too strong for Dimitri van den Bergh (6-4). A duel with Michael van Gerwen then awaits in the quarterfinals. The winner of the previous two EuroTour tournaments goes down 6-4, pushing Humphries through to the semi-finals.
In those semifinals he will meet Jose de Sousa. Both men average around 100, but it is 'Cool Hand Luke' who goes to the final with a 7-4 victory. In that final he will meet Rob Cross, who manages to beat Vincent van der Voort during the semi-finals 7-4. It is eventually Humphries who manages to take the title. The Englishman wins the final of Cross 8-5 and can call himself the winner of a EuroTour tournament for the second time this year (after the German Darts Grand Prix).
