The 2024 Lakeside WDF World Darts Championship was held from 29 November to 8 December at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green. The field of participants in the girls' category has doubled to four this year. The Italian Aurora Fochesato is the defending champion, she defeated Krisztina Turai in the final in 2023.
Fochesato is back to defend her title, but she has to acknowledge her superior in the Scottish Sophie McKinlay in the semi-final. McKinlay is having a great World Championship anyway because she is also playing in the women's category and surprisingly reached the final there, just like in the girls' category.
In the other semi-final, it is the English Paige Pauling who is really a size too big for the Belgian Jentl Franssen. The final is ultimately also a prey for the English number 1 on the seeding list. This makes her the second Englishwoman to win the title after Eleanor Cairns who won in 2022.
