The final of the Lakeside Youth World Championship 2020 was between the English title holder Leighton Bennett and the Irish challenger Keane Barry. In the end it is Barry who is the first Irish player to win the BDO youth World Championship. Thanks to a 3-0 victory, he can call himself world champion for a year. Bennett did not become the second player (after Justin van Tergouw) to successfully defend his title.
