The Baltic Sea Darts Open 2026 was held from 29 to 31 May at the Wunderino Arena in Kiel, Germany, as the eight event of the 2026 European Tour.
Many seeded players make early exits. Stephen Bunting (3) was knocked out in this first round after a 6–2 defeat to Cameron Menzies, while fourth seed Danny Noppert exited in his opening match, losing 6–2 to William O'Connor. Chris Dobey (6), Nathan Aspinall (7), Ross Smith (8), Martin Schindler (9), Jermaine Wattimena (10), Mike de Decker (11) and Daryl Gurney (15) all suffer early exits.
Luke Woodhouse began his campaign with a 6–3 victory over Andrew Gilding before producing a convincing 6–1 win against Cameron Menzies in the Last 16. In the quarterfinals, Woodhouse defeated Jimmy van Schie 6–3 to reach the final four. His semi-final against Ricky Evans proved one-sided, as Woodhouse secured a 7–2 victory to reach the second European Tour final of his career.
On the other side of the draw, Ryan Joyce opened against Cristian Kist, beating him 6-3 to move to the next round, where he wins a 6–5 victory over Martin Schindler before defeating Niko Springer 6–4 in the Last 16. In the quarterfinals, Joyce comfortably beat Dave Chisnall 6–1, who averaged just 78.17, before edging out Damon Heta 7–6 in a deciding-leg to secure his place in the final.
The final began evenly, but Woodhouse gradually took control of the contest with consistent scoring and timely finishing. Joyce remained within touching distance during the opening stages, but Woodhouse continued strong and never allowed his opponent to build any momentum. Both players averaged in the mid-90s, with Woodhouse posting 98.61 compared to Joyce's 94.46, as he completed an 8–4 victory to lift the trophy.
With this triumph, Luke Woodhouse secured the first European Tour title of his career and the biggest ranking victory of his professional career.
