The second edition of the Poland Darts Masters was held on 14 and 15 June in the PreZero Arena in Gliwice. The eight PDC players faced a player from Eastern Europe in the first round.
The PDC featured defending champions Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith, Luke Littler, Rob Cross, Luke Humphries, Peter Wright, Stephen Bunting and Nathan Aspinall. Of the eight Eastern European players, only Croatian star Boris Krcmar survives the first round. He surprisingly beats Nathan Aspinall but does so with a great average of almost 100.
In the quarterfinals, it is the end of the story for the Croatian when he comes up against an unstoppable Michael van Gerwen. The Dutchman throws an average of almost 110 and does not leave a leg to Krcmar. Michael Smith beats world champion Luke Humphries in an eleventh and decisive leg. Luke Littler and Rob Cross also win their matches.
Rob Cross convincingly wins his semi-final against Michael van Gerwen with 7-2, partly thanks to an average of almost 107. Luke Littler becomes his opponent in the final, Luke The Nuke wins in the very last leg against Michael Smith. In the final, Littler manages to maintain his level, something that Rob Cross does not manage to do and so it becomes a relatively easy victory for Littler with 8-3.
It is the second World Tour victory for Luke Littler this season, after he was already the best in Bahrain.
