Raymond van Barneveld reclaimed his World Darts Trophy title in 2004. He defeated his rival Martin Adams in the final 6-4 and became the first player with multiple World Darts Trophy-titles.
Barney was not troubled on his way tot he final. Peter Hunt, Markus Korhonen and Tony Eccles did not stand a chance against the Dutchman. Tony David managed to push Van Barneveld in the semi-final, but he was swept aside 5-3. Adams reached the final by defeating Mervyn King 5-4 in a tense semi-final.
