In 2012 the PDC launches the Euro Tour. On the European continent, the Pro Tour tournaments disappear and the tournaments are played on big stages with big audiences in the venue.
In the second year there are eight tournaments in the series. England, Gibraltar, The Netherlands and Austria each get one stop and Germany is visited four times. Sixty-four players compete in the first round on two stages. From the second round the tournament continues on one stage.
John Part is the strongest during this event. He defeats Stuart Kellett in the surprising final. Both players earned their place the final by beating a series of top players. Kellett beats Peter Wright, Colin Lloyd, Dave Chisnall, Robert Thornton and Andy Hamilton. The list of Part is also impressive, he beats Kim Huybrechts, Gary Anderson, Mensur Suljovic, Simon Whitlock and Adrian Lewis. For Part it is his first victory in two years and it puts him in all the TV tournaments in 2013.
