In 2014 Singapore is added as a stop on the World Tour. After the success of Dubai and Sydney a year earlier, Singapore and Perth are added to the tour in 2014. The tournament is played in the Indoor Stadium on 15 and 16 August.
Michael van Gerwen crowned himself the first Singapore Darts Master beating Simon Whitlock 11-8 in the final. Van Gerwen also beat Andy Hamilton and James Wade on his way to the final.
In the first round Dave Chisnall beats the number two seed Phil Taylor. Chisnall would later lose in the semi-final to Whitlock.
