The Dubai Darts Masters 2016 was played on 26 and 27 May, for the fourth successive year in the Dubai Tennis Stadium. The participants for this edition were Michael van Gerwen, Phil Taylor, Gary Anderson, Adrian Lewis, Peter Wright, James Wade, Raymond van Barneveld and Dave Chisnall.
For the first time in the history of this tournament it’s not Michael van Gerwen who wins the tournament. The Dutchman loses this year in the final to Gary Anderson who thus wins his first World Series tournament. In a thrilling final Anderson bends a 4-8 deficit to a 11-9 victory.
