The sixth edition of the BDO World Trophy was held at King George's Hall, Blackburn in England from August 29 to September 1, 2019. Fallon Sherrock is the title defender, but she the draw is not favourable for her when she comes across the reigning world champion Mikuru Suzuki in the first round. The Japanese wins this fight in a seventh and decisive leg, but also loses a round later to the Dutch number one Aileen de Graaf.
It is Lisa Ashton who ultimately claims the title. She beats Corrine Hammond, Casey Gallagher, Aileen de Graaf and in the final Anastasia Dobromyslova. It is the third BDO World Trophy that Ashton wins, her eleventh major in total.
