The 2026 Bahrain Darts Masters took place from 15 to 16 January 2026 at the Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir, Bahrain, marking the opening event of the 2026 World Series of Darts. The tournament featured 16 players — eight from the PDC and eight invited Asian competitors — with a prize fund of £100,000, including £30,000 for the winner.

The opening round of the tournament saw all of the top PDC players progress to the next stage. Among the early victories, Luke Littler powered past Paul Lim with a 6–1 win, while Gerwyn Price defeated Motomu Sakai 6–4. Other notable results saw Nathan Aspinall overcoming Lourence Ilagan 6–4 and Michael van Gerwen securing a 6–4 win over Alexis Toylo.

In the quarter‑finals, Gerwyn Price defeated Luke Littler 6–2, while Michael van Gerwen won 6–4 against Stephen Bunting. Nathan Aspinall progressed with a 6–3 win over Luke Humphries, and Gian van Veen produced a dominant 6–1 victory over Danny Noppert.

In the semi‑finals, Michael van Gerwen defeated Gerwyn Price 7–2, and Gian van Veen won 7–4 against Nathan Aspinall to secure his spot in the final.

In the final, Michael van Gerwen took an early 3–0 lead against Gian van Veen, hitting key finishes including a 130 checkout and a 113. Van Veen mounted a comeback, winning three consecutive legs to bring the score to 6–5. However, Van Gerwen held his nerve and finished with a 103 checkout and 66 finish to win the match 8–6.

This victory marked Michael van Gerwen’s first Bahrain Darts Masters title, his 17th World Series of Darts victory. Van Veen, though falling short in the final, played solidly throughout the tournament and claimed a career milestone with his performance.
