Shanghai Darts Masters
In 2016, Shanghai is added as a stop on the World Tour. After the success of the World Tour the PDC also like to conquer China. The event is played in the theatre of the Pullman hotel in Shanghai.
Like the other World Series tournaments, the PDC brings eight top players to Shanghai. In the first round games these eight play a regional Asian qualifier.
Michael van Gerwen wins the first edition beating James Wade in the final. A year later he retains his title against Dave Chisnall. In 2018 Michael Smith is the strongest in Shanghai as he beats reigning World Champion Rob Cross in the final.
