In 2010, Scott Waites does even better then in 2009. He not only reaches the final, but he wins it too and does so in dramatical fashion. His opponent James Wade takes an 8-0 lead in the final, but then does not know what happens to him when out of the next 20 legs he looses 16 and hands the title to his fellow Englishman. One of the greatest comebacks of all time! From the first round there are spectaculair matches. Ted Hankey beats Phil Taylor in the group stage, but both men go through to the second round though.

In the second round some of the big names go out. Ted Hankey looses to Steve Beaton, Tony O'Shea goes down to Terry Jenkins and Raymond van Barneveld gets beaten by Scott Waites. But the biggest upset is yet to come when Steve Beaton beats Phil Taylor in the quarterfinals. This means that for the first time a different name goes on the trophy and that is ultimately Scott Waites.

Best Dutchman in 2010 is Co Stompe who reaches the quarterfinal where he looses to the eventual winner. The other Dutch are Vincent van der Voort and Michael van Gerwen, but both men don't get past the first round.
