From 10 to 12 May, the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen was the setting for the European Darts Grand Prix for the sixth consecutive year. The sixth edition was of high quality, with many 180’s, high finishes and high averages. Ian White was crowned EuroTour winner for the second time in his career, the first title for him in Sindelfingen.

White, seeded third in the tournament, survives three match darts in his first match against Dimitri Van den Bergh, he then beats Keegan Brown, Jeffrey de Zwaan and Steve Beaton consecutively to face Peter Wright in the final.

Wright has won against Niels Zonneveld, Jonny Clayton, Michael van Gerwen and Jamie Hughes. The final is a tense battle that is decided in a fifteenth and decisive leg. It is White who finds the winning double and can now call himself European Darts Grand Prix champion.

It was the third consecutive final on the EuroTour for The Diamond, a performance that only Michael van Gerwen had accomplished until this weekend. After the Dutch Darts Championship in 2018, this is the second win for White on the Euro Tour, Wright remains on six wins from fourteen finals, four of which were here in the Glaspalast.
