The sixth edition of the BDO World Trophy was held at King George's Hall, Blackburn in England from August 29 to September 1, 2019. Defending champion Glen Durrant is now playing in the PDC and so the title was vacant.

It is Jim Williams who wins his first major after an open tournament with many surprises, but also with the numbers one and two seeds facing each other in the final. The surprises are Sebastian Steyer from Poland and the New Zealander Mark McGrath who both managed to reach the semi-final.

Richard Veenstra is the highest ranked player this year and he beats Justin Thompson, Nick Kenny, Daniel Day and Sebastian Steyer en route to the final. Jim Williams in turn beats Wes Newton, Scott Taylor, Joe Chaney and Mark McGrath. Williams is the strongest 8-6 in the final and is crowned World Trophy champion 2019.
